Marking the 25th anniversary of Manuel Castells’ Information Age Trilogy, IN3/UOC organized a workshop “to revisit the trilogy and explore the relevance of Castells’ pioneering work in the light of the current state of the network society and of the ways to research about it”. I participated in the second of four panels, dedicated to “The Network and the Grassroots” with a working paper titled “To network or not to network? Solidarity economy networks’ communicative action in times of COVID-19 in Portugal and Catalonia”, co-authored with Cristina Parente.

A one-day virtual conference organized by IASC – the International Association for the Study of the Commons. I presented a comparative study of Portuguese CSAs (community-supported agriculture) focusing on the groups’ communication pratices and tools for food commoning.
